Spirochete Silver stain kit (warthin-starry method)
The Warthin-Starry silver stain method was used by Warthin and Starry in 1920 to show spirochetes. The principle of staining is that the mucin on the surface of the spirochetes will specifically bind to silver and appear black. The staining has clear contrast and the stained slides can be stored for a long time, but the operation is more cumbersome and time-consuming.
The Spirochetes Silver stain kit (warthin-starry method) can show spirochetes, Helicobacter pylori, cat scratch disease cocci, rhinosclerosis, fungi, nerve fibers, melanin particles, etc. This kit is recommeded for for identifying Helicobacter pylori, chronic gastritis and peptic ulcers when the methylene blue method is not effective.
