Soil Urease Activity Assay kit

S-UE can hydrolyze urea to produce ammonia and carbonic acid. Soil urease activity is positively correlated with the number of soil microorganisms, organic matter content, total nitrogen and available nitrogen content. Soil urease activity reflects the nitrogen status of the soil.

The indophenol blue colorimetric method is used to measure NH3-N produced by urease hydrolyzing urea.
