Soil Total Phosphate Content Assay kit

Total phosphate includes orthophosphate, metaphosphate, pyrophosphate, polyphosphate and other phosphate forms, which reflect the phosphate level in water and soil. It is an important indicator of water quality and soil quality evaluation. In acidic solution, under decomposing agent and high temperature conditions, the inorganic phosphate and organic phosphate are hydrolyzed into orthophosphate, which can be combined with ammonium molybdate.

It reacts to phosphomolybdic acid, which is reduced to phosphomolybdenum blue in the presence of a reducing agent, with a characteristic absorption peak at 660nm.
