Soil Alkaline Protease Activity Assay kit
Soil protease is involved in the conversion of amino acids, proteins and other organic compounds containing protein nitrogen in the soil, and its hydrolysate is one of the nitrogen sources of higher plants. S-ALPT catalyzes protein hydrolysis in an alkaline environment, which is related to the content of soil organic matter, nitrogen and other soil properties.
Under alkaline conditions, S-ALPT can hydrolyze casein to produce tyrosine; under alkaline conditions, tyrosine reduces phosphomolybdic acid compounds to produce tungsten blue; there is a characteristic absorption peak at 680nm.
