[Sar1, Val5, Ala8]-Angiotensin II
As a noncompetitive angiotensin II antagonist, saralasin inhibits the pressor effects of angiotensin II in rats and shows blood pressure lowering activity in humans. It is used as a diagnostic for renin-dependent hypertension.
