IMDM

IMDM is Iscove's Modified Dulbecco Medium (DMEM), originally designed to cultivate red blood cell precursor cells and macrophages. On the basis of DMEM, IMDM medium is supplemented with trace elements selenium, extra amino acids and vitamins, and potassium nitrate is used instead of ferric nitrate. It is rich in nutrients and is very suitable for rapid proliferation and high-density cell culture, such as mouse B lymphocytes, LPS stimulated B cells, bone marrow cells, T lymphocytes and various hybridoma cells. In addition, IMDM can also be used as a base solution for some unique serum-free media.
