Collagen Fiber & Elastic Fiber stain kit (Van Geison & Weigert method)

Collagen fiber is the most widely distributed type of fiber in connective tissue. Elastic fiber is mainly distributed in the arterial walls, alveolar walls, and skin of the human body. It is yellow when fresh and has strong refractive properties. In routine tissue staining, it is often necessary to display two fibers at the same time to study the coexistence between fibers and their dependence on other structures. Based on this, the EVG composite stain kit was produced based on the fiber individual stain kit, which is stained by conventional elastic fibers . Used in conjunction with VG collagen staining.

This kit uses a combined mechanism of Van Geison & Weigert stain solution, which can simultaneously stain elastic fibers and collagen fibers on one section and is not easy to fade. After staining, the elastic fibers are purple-black, the collagen fibers are red, and the muscles are yellow. It is suitable for observing whether there are abnormal lesions in the elastic fibers and collagen fibers in the tissue, thereby assisting in diagnosis.
