Caspase-3/7 Live Cell Detection kit (Green Fluorescence)
Caspase-3/7 Assay Kit for Live Cells is a new type of Caspase-3/7 green fluorescent substrate with cell membrane permeability to detect Caspase-3/7 activity in living cells The kit can be used for real-time detection of apoptosis in living cells.
Caspase-3/7 Substrate is a polypeptide DEVD coupled with DNA green fluorescent dye. DEVD in this substrate is the recognition sequence of caspase3/7 and has a lot of negative charges. These negative charges and the negative charges of DNA repel each other, so that the DNA green fluorescent dye in the substrate cannot bind to DNA, and cannot be excited to produce green fluorescence. When the initially non-fluorescent substrate passes through the cell membrane and enters the cytoplasm, it is recognized and cut by Caspase-3/7 in apoptotic cells, thereby releasing the activated DNA green fluorescent dye molecule. When this DNA green fluorescent dye migrates into the nucleus and combines with DNA, it can be excited to produce bright green fluorescence
