BCIP/NBT substrate kit [25x]

BCIP (5-bromo-4-chloro-3-indolyl-phosphate) in conjunction with NBT (nitro blue tetrazolium) are effective chromogenic substrate for use in blotting for the detection of alkaline phosphatase probe. The BCIP is catalyzed by the Alkaline phosphatase (AP) and the BCIP hydrolyzed to produce a highly reactive product which will react with NBT to form an insoluble dark blue to blue-violet precipitate.
