The amylin fragment Ac-ATQRLANFLVHSSNNFGAILSSTNVGSNTY-NH? completely reversed the inhibitory effects of IAPP on ¹?C-glycogen accumulation in vitro. It proved to be a most effective amylin antagonist with limited ability to block inhibition by CGRP.
